hey guys my buddies and just applied for region y rifle mule deer in wyoming looking for some tips where to hunt And camp first time out west to hunt any tips would be appreciated. Some guys told me near kayce is a good area but it looks like a lot of private

Area Y animals! also might want to try and snag an antelope tag if any are left. Some good ones running around there!

I'm also looking into a Wyoming hunt, and want to take my dad before it gets any harder for him. He wants to do an open country mule deer hunt, and I've come across several threads recommending region Y. We can't afford to go guided or on a private ranch.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I could set up a camp that would have decent access to public land and decent deer numbers. Not necessarily looking for a trophy, just a good successful hunt with my dad and brother. Any help is appreciated.
