CO Unit 24 Archery draw statistics?
 

Hello,

Looking for a little help with the CPW site. Unit 24 is a draw unit for archery elk, I'm trying to figure out if I can put in for a point as my first choice and still draw 24 for archery. I can't find any statistics on unit 24 on the CPW site though. Where am I going wrong?

Look in the big game brochure and normally when you cant find a stat for that unit then that unit comes along with other units kinda like for example if i buy a tag for 59 for bear it comes with 59, 511, 591. try looking for stats on one of the other units that the tag comes with.

There are two zones, north 24 and south 24.

North zone code is EE012O1A
South zone is EE033O1A

North fork of the white river divides the two zones.

I looked it up for you. Unit 24 is tied in with units 12 and 23. Do you have any points?

You have no chance of putting in for a point as 1st pick, and getting the tag as a 2nd choice. Nobody got a tag as a 2nd choice. Only 60% got it as a 1st choice.

For 660 tags. 970 hunters applied for them. That means 310 hunters didn't get a tag as a 1st pick.

1 point will guarantee the tag as a 1st pick. Zero points will give you only a 60% chance as a 1st pick. Forget anything as a 2nd pick.

I appreciate it. I'm going to put in for it and if I don't get it I'll take the point and grab an OTC tag.
