A great way to scout a unit is to cow hunt there.

Elk in Colo.

I know of some great places to go in Colo. for a DIY hunt but one of them might take more then 13 points. The other area is pretty rugged and takes about 7 points to draw but can be a great area for big bulls. Let me know and I can look into the points needed for for the first location and we can go from there. Wayne

Thought you were strictly a meat hunter these days Chief! I guess with that many PPs I wouldn't be hunting a cow either, LOL!

6x6s have meat too. :party0005: Actually the tag will be an either sex tag. So, if it comes down to the last afternoon and the 6x6 doesn't cooperate, I'd drop the hammer on a nice fat cow. I've been hunting cows in unit 2 for years and know where to get one.

makes sense if it's a hunt you really want to hunt. problem is I doubt I have twenty more years. kinda doubt any of us do.

yup. different strokes for different folks.personally I love that not everyone wants to hunt the same hunts I DO. more game for me!:happy0001:

hunts are like women , the best ones require effort but easy can be pleasing
