blaze orange ghillie suit?

Does anyone make a solid blaze orange ghillie type suit? If so is it legal where "solid" blaze orange is required?

So you know, they have this thing called the internet now.

Really?? LOL, yes I saw that one, but doesn't really appeal to me and the fabric sounds like it would hold lots of moisture. Seems too bulky to me and doesn't really cover the chest area. Was hoping they had something more like this:

Or even better maybe just a vest and ballcap hat

And it still doesn't tell me for sure if they are legal in Colorado. Example, the seeallsight says on their website that they are legal in all states where open/fiberoptic sights are legal. But they are not legal in Colorado. I sent a question to Colorado DOW and asked if they would be legal.

I own this one from Cabela's and I love it !

Most states only require "X" amount of square inches of blaze orange (strange enough California does not require any !?!?).

Check the state regulations in the state you plan to hunt.

You could just make one.

But a jacket, and some bulk fabric from a sewing supply store, and have at it. That way, you get one as heavy as you want it to be, made with the fabrics that you want it made with.

Just purchased that very suit recently and that is what got me to thinking.

However Colorado requires 500 sq inches of solid blaze orange, so don't know if this meets the requirements or not. I have asked the DOW in an email

That is what I am thinking. I have lots of extra blaze vests and shirts that I don't wear to get material.

yeah exept that thing you like from cabelas isn't a ghillie suit. Its a leaf suit, ghillie suits are thick and bulky unless you make it thin. But they are way better than a leaf suit, I have people try to find me with a pair of bino's all the time in the woods just for fun. We make our own in the army all the time they are easy to make

I need to ask why blaze orange......in a Guillie suit?

Because Colorado makes you wear SOLID blaze orange (a vest and a hat). However if you add a 3-D effect which makes shadows and flutters, it might help.
