Record black bear of 2012.
 

Hi all here is a picture of Maine's Record black bear of 2012.. A whooping 699 lbs and it was mounted...

Nice bear. I always wanted to hunt either ME or NH for bear. I've taken several from the west but never in New England. Maybe next year after I retire.

If you do happen up this way bear hunting.. Good Luck to you.. I hope you get one as I am thinking a lot of bears gets shot here.. However right now it is under attack again by the antis.. I hope they do not get their way..

Almost looks like Yogi Bear with a big hind end and smaller chest.

I am not sure what the guy used as I never shot it.. I just posted a picture of the mount that has come out of it up here. Last year another big bear came close to this record as well. While I can not say for sure I am thinking it was up around 680 + pounds.

Oh ok. We have a few big ones in Colorado, but nothing like that.

At least I wouldn't want to run into one with a muzzleloader with nothing but a knife as backup.
