Colorado season dates/fees/etc
 

Here is a synopsis of this years hunting seasons and dates. Interesting to note that nonresidents now get an annual fishing license with a big game license. Someone also said they increased the preference point fee to $40, but can't find that on there:

That's a great marketing move. You shoot your buck or bull, and instead of heading for home, you stick around and fish for a day or two, spending money at local businesses the whole time.

Wyoming has that setup if you buy an elk license. Under the proposed 10% fee increase that is being submitted to the Legislature they will do that for your deer and antelope license too if it passes, but it won't take effect until Jan of 2015 if it does.

It has been cheap to build points in Colorado. I think I've got 11 points for elk.

I'm sitting on 19 points for elk. Probably going to cash them in on the unit 2 early hunt and try for a big bull.

I've got 13 points for bear and will cash them in on the Bosque del Oso bear hunt. I'll get a fall turkey tag for this hunt as well.

I've got 13 points for deer and am looking at one of the RFW tags, probably the Purgatory Ranch.

I've got 9 points for pronghorn which will get me a unit 12 buck tag.

I've got 3+10 for moose and will try for one of the units around Walden again.

I've got 3+10 for sheep and will be trying for one of the units around Buena Vista.

I've got 3 points for goat so I'll just continue to build points for it.

Can you tell that I'm retiring in Apr and intend to be busy this fall?
