G16 Nanny in 2000

With 3+2 points in 2000 I drew an either sex mtn goat tag for what then was G7 (but has now been broken down to 3 separate units, and the unit I harvested in is now G16). I did a fair amount of scouting and saw lots of goats, but at that time it really didn't matter if I got a nanny or a billy. On opening day (3rd season) I went up Geneva creek and hunted the area above the old mining there. I almost had a shot at a medium sized billy first thing, but he was hanging out on the edge of a cliff so I tried to get around him for a better shot, and by the time I got into position he was gone. The wind was howling (30mph+) so I hunkered down on the ridgeline and watched a group of nannies and kids feeding right towards me. When they got within 75 yards I decided to take the lead nanny who looked to have decent length (8 1/2"). I skinned her for a rug mount. Full body mounts are really nice if you have the space for them, but I didnt so I decided a rug mount was the next best thing. I now have enough points for another tag (3+4), but I am divided between trying to decide if I want to go back for a nanny only tag (which are fairly easy to get) vs an either sex tag to try for a billy (which are more difficult to draw). At 50 yrs old I don't know how much longer I am willing to wait it out for a billy. That hunt in 2000 when I was only 37 was the toughest hunt (physically) that I have every been on (with my sheep hunt being a close second), so I am not looking forward to doing another hunt like that. If I get an either sex tag and shoot a billy then I most likely will do a shoulder mount, but to be honest, that rug mount is not too bad.
