Default Last day bear

Shot this bear on our last day to hunt in NH. It was the only bear we saw all week. It field dressed at 240 lbs. I was using my 300 WSM with a 180gr Ballistic Silvertip.Last day bear-bear-2013-005.jpg

Congrats! Looks like it has a nice skull on it. Do they age the bears for you there?

I was just curious because one of my hunters shot a 188 pounder two years ago that was 7.5 years old. I never would have guessed that.

Very nice looking bear. Great picture of that beautiful animal. Hope my luck holds out like yours as I have two weeks left of bear season here in Wisconsin and all I've seen is a sow with three cubs. Gotta keep at it and your results give me hope.
