Hope he doesn't end up as a pile of bear scat. Those Griz like a shot of hot pepper in their mouth before dining on fresh meat.

They like it so much that the state of WY requires elk hunters in areas around grand Teton to carry pepper spray.

For hunting them..id go with 150gr loose powder and the heaviest hollow point to the heart lungs if possible...if its coming straight towards you go for a neck shot. or heart...I wouldn't try for a skull shot in case it glanced off his skull. but I prob wouldn't hunt them...unless in a survival situation

Same bullet i've recommended from the beginning in grizz country.

The 330 gr version blew through both shoulders of a bull. DRT.

400gr Barnes Buster Bullet if you don't mind the price.

I think youre right about the Harvesters.I even use them in a sabot in my 16 gauge bp shotgun.theyre great bullets, not a pistol bullet in a sabot.

I already considered the spray.it was a survival question, and your first response was useful.however as far as ending up as bear scat, you can go play in bear scat. It stands to reason that if this other guy can shoot through an elk with a harvester hardcast lead bullet, a grizzly will feel it too.

I haven't been told to go play in bear scat since I was a little kid. Granddaddy used to say that when I got on his nerves.

Fond memories of my youth.

Bear scat always looks kind of juicy. Probably not fun to play in.
