Handgun Hunting

1 Attachment(s)
Hey fellas, I'm looking into doing a handgun hunt this year for Black Bear, I live in MD and would prefer one of my neighboring (more gun and hunters rights friendly) states. I'm looking around at info and everything am having a little bit of a tough time finding what I'm looking for. I'm a fairly broke college student so it's probably gonna be plain out of the question for me to go stay at a fancy multi thousand dollar lodge -but- I want a guide at the very least. I would appreciate any help I can get on the subject as far as any good guides or maybe lodges where you can pay to hunt and camp out without the insane price tag, or just any advice I can get at all. My father and I are planning on moving out west this year and I want this to be one of the last things I do in the good old backwoods of the east coast. As far as the reason why, well... I'll let my pic do the talking. I'm really wanting to put something on the ground with this bad boy

I hunted bear with Turn Pike Ridge Outfitters in Maine. Not sure if that is to far for you but a week hunt was around 1500. We were all feed very very well and had a good luck with the bears. We went in Sept and the shots were an average of 25 yds some guys used rifle some bow. I hope this helps. Here's the website. Good luck with your choice.
