I shoot a 516 gr pile driver at full length, 72 lb draw on my Bear encounter at 266 fps. using the g5 montec. I do shoot rage for some species but I am leery about using mechanical blades on moose or elk. A lot of people do but I have to live with myself if they fail.

You have enough k.e. but I would go with a fixed blade head for elk. Slick tricks are a very tough and accurate fixed blade but any fixed blade will do the job. Some states do have restrictions on mechanical heads and if you are going with an outfitter some of them don't allow them.
