Default Elk Deer and Bear

Rifle season is almost here in MT.Just curious as to where you hunt and how you hunt?
Which state?
General area?
How long?
What type of rifle?
On foot or Horseback?
Do you shoot Bulls, cows or calves?
Buck or Doe? Whitetail or Muledeer?
Do you hunt several areas or have 1 favorite?
During the season or end post a pic of what you shot and or your hunting pictures camp etc.

I have hunted for years in MT. 201,203,204,240 and a few others.
A lot up highway 12 out of lolo.
I go out for day hunts most of the time.as I usually can hunt within 20 miles of home.Sometimes I make a camp.
Sometimes for 4 days to a week.
I use a 300 short mag and 30-06.
Hunt on foot and hoof it.
I will shoot a bull or a cow at end of season.
Shoot bucks although take does during archery they are better eating.
Mule deer and whitetail doesnt matter.Even bear to prolong the hunting.
I like to have a variety of areas to hunt but do have a few favorite places as a backup.

This is how I deer hunt.Do any of you hunt like this?
I go to an area that i know has good bucks.I like to find a small spring where the deer are getting a drink.and hunt up above it. Just above their bedding areas.I use cover scent and watch the wind.I put some golden estrous on my boots and make a big circle around the mountain spot and stalking and using a primos deer call making doe grunts.I have called in numerous big bucks this way. When I get back to where I started I take another trip on my backtrail and usually see bucks coming in to the golden estrous.
It has worked for me every year consistantly.
