My Black Bear
1 Attachment(s)
Here's a picture of the Black Bear I tagged in Canada last week, first trip away from Australia and thoroughly loved the country, spent a few days in bot Toronto and NYC before my guided hunt started.
This fella is over 500lb, and his skull rough measurements place him around 22" This was my first ever bear, taken on a non resident tag. |

I know people that own into the hundreds, I personally have 223, 243, 308, 300wm, 375ruger, 45/70 and 458wm plus a 12g. Some states here are harsher than others. My signature line is because I love hunting with the 45/70 probably the oldest caliber still in commercial production is very popular her in Australia |
Nice bear!!! I killed my first one last week in Minnesota

Well huge congrats for hunting the huge bear indeed ! BTW, what was the last animal that you hunt, before this one ??
Thinking very hard it would have been a Fallow deer doe, (similar in size to your Whitetail deer), or Hares and Foxes under spotlight, in 2011. I must admit I've been slack this year, (lifes commitements getting in the way) toward hunting, I would normally hunt once or twice a month, but this year this was my first hunt. My usuall hunting would be goats or fallow Deer at the larger end and at the smaller end, Rabbits, Foxes and Hare. I'm off in a fortnight hunting feral Pigs and Wild Horses:D |
Wasted, have they opened up a season for those massive salties you have down there? I heard they were talking about it and it's not like you guys have any shortage of those huge crocs! As soon as I heard that all I could think of was boating down a river in the outback with some rotten chicken and an old Lithgow Enfield
