I completely blew it this year. I try to plan it so that I have the last of the previous years elk steak to take to camp teh next year. I busted out a pack of steaks last weekend and then realized afterwards that that was the last pack. Dammit, looks like hot dogs for the first few days of camp this year!!!!!!!!

i call it a sucessful plan if there' s hot dogs...it beats cheerios, slimjims, and taco bell salsa packets that i found underneath the truck seat. for a copy of my recipe book, send SASE and some elk steaks....

We are leaving for camp in the AM. The cooler is stalked with elk steak from last year and fish from a recent outing off the baja. No Slim Jims and Cheerios at our camp!
