the way i read the book u can buy a over the counter cow tag by itself for around 250 but some of the other guys who r going say that u have to have a bull tag as well is this right? thanks clay

You are not required to purchase a non-resident bull tag prior to being able to buy a $250 cow tag.

Some of those tags are strictly " additional" tags. Some are not. Contact the CDOW at: www.wildlife.state.co for details. You can get to the Big Game brochure by clicking on the " Hunting" tab on the home page, then " Big Game" then look for the link to the brochure and regs.
