Bear Hunting Question
 

I am getting married in June, 2012 and was looking into going bear hunting in Montana for my bachelor's party. I was wondering what you all would reccommend as far as what type of rifle/scope I should look into...

I am completely new to hunting, however I have been in the Army for four years and know how to handle a weapon. Since I do not think I will be hunting much after, I am not real interested in spending money on a hunting rifle that I would only use once. Would it be possible to hunt a black bear with an AR-10? If so, what scope would you reccomend?

Also, do any of you have any reccomendations as far as Montana hunting guides? I am open to all ideas, even if they are not in Montana. All I want is to hunt a bear and call it a day.
