Nice Buck
What do you think of this guy? I snapped his picture on Sunday evening returning home after scouting for elk. He made me forget about elk for a while! :D

RE: Nice Buck
He is a beauty!
Look at that sag in his back and that pot belly. He has some age on him. Probably to tough to eat...Yeah way to tough to eat! You wouldn' t like him at all--trust me! Now where did you say you saw him at?? :D |

Daaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnggggggggg! You know, I' m a pretty big guy (6' , 220 lb). I could probably tag along with you while you are hunting for that buck and help you haul him out (if you see him before I do):D
I have friends in Choteau if that is close to you. I could stay at their place and commute, I don' t mind! |
RE: Nice Buck
Thats a nice deer. He' s approaching the 30 inch mark but unless I' m looking at the pic wrong one side is a lot shorter than the other. I might pass on him on the first day if that was the case.

RE: Nice Buck
I have to admit, you guys are a mighty helpful bunch. I certainly appreciate the offers to get me back on track with the elk, to take what would certainly be some tough venison off my hands, and even offers to help pack ' em out. What more can a guy ask from his friends! It will be no easy task taking that ole boy...the stuff he walked into is thicker than heck, but I plan to ease back in there for a look. I was really glad I had my digital camera in the truck. I had guys that I work with swear I didn' t take that picture around here.
Power: Choteau is just a hop, skip and a jump away (by Montana standards). Bareback: you are correct on both counts, the left side of his rack is in the trees....he is perfectly balanced. On the second count, Moosedrool is the nectar of the hunting gods....I try to have one or two from time to time. Take care guys...thanks for your support! Jeff |
