What's the Ultimate North American Combo Hunt?

What's the Ultimate North American Combo Hunt?

Name your combo...has to exist though/be actually huntable, ie

moose/caribou, maybe add grizz?

muskox/caribou?

mule deer/elk?

do tell...

halfbakedi420 10-16-2011 12:05 PM

Being that I've only hunted whitetail this post would be pure speculation on my part. But i think for me it would be elk. Love to do it soon before i get too damn old!!

Muley Hunter 10-16-2011 06:07 PM

So, your combo would be? Two elk?

salukipv1 10-16-2011 09:23 PM

I'm going to say...

Moose, Caribou, and a Grizzly.

although going 3 for 3 with all being trophies would be quite a miracle...

2 elk?

or how about a wolf and an elk!?
ID...MT...

what's the saying...?
"If you don't do it this year, you'll be a year older when you do."

I've done the elk/mule deer thing, but elk was the focus, the deer tag was just a kinda had in my pocket, went 0/2 on that one.
May make this happen in 2012 though, may be 2 different trips though.

My 1st western hunt was an antelope/mule deer combo, I was young, took a doe, missed an antelope, should've gone 2 for 2, hindsight is 20/20 of course. Had a blast none the less!

I would like to do what my friend did when he went to Alaska. He went after moose, caribou, Bear, and Wolf. He got the Moose, wolf, and caribou but missed the bear.

For me too !

I listed a combo I can actually do, but what i'd love to do is........Grizzly with a bow.....alone.

That would scare me enough to have fun.

combo requires 1 more animal... but we'll let it slide...

a bow/grizzly, not sure I want to do it with a bow, but def a grizzly! with a 375h&h I'm thinking...

and alone? no backup/guide? your combo might be a grizzly and a casket... haha.

I knew a guy who took a big brown with a bow...had the guide, but lost the guide on the stalk...he kinda got tunnel vision he said and just went after the bear....he shot, then got down, that was the plan....the guide was nowhere to be found... a couple hundred yards back....but he made a good shot and got the job done. pretty fun/awesome story to hear from a guy who's actually done it, I think he was like 9 yds away, something super close like that...

My combo I listed earlier. Elk and muley buck.

The grizz is more of a dream hunt.
