Best Elk load for Browning XBolt 300 WSM?

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a scramble mode to find a great commercial load for my new Browning XBolt 300 WSM. My dad and I are headed on a 10 day elk hunt in Colorado and I don't want to screw this up. It's an epic trip for the two of us as we are typically only able to hunt white-tail deer. Which makes me also wonder what the best load is for this rife when hunting smaller game such as deer? Good luck this hunting season, and thanks in advance for any/all suggestions.

For both a elk and deer load I'd try Nosler accubonds, Barnes TSX and or Nosler Partion loads. All are loaded in federal premium line. I prefer the heavier for elk especially the accubonds, but 165 or 180 would work jim dandy in the parts or tsx

Best of luck and have a great trip.

165gr tipped-TSX
180gr TSX

Winchester 180gr XP3

Any premium bullet in 165/180 should do the trick. These 3 would be my short list.

165 Federal Premium Nosler Partition, we have taken many big bulls with this bullet and have never had an issue. Have a great hunt!

Its a little late to be picking a load, with 2nd season just weeks away, but I say 180gr nosler partition. Lots of other loads, but the main thing is, what shoots accurate in your gun. Better buy a few boxes and burn them up at the range soon if you want to hit what you see.

I was thinking that my set-up would require a 180 gr, but am happy to know the 165 will do the trick. And yes, streetglideok, I plan on shooting the **** out of my new rig before going. All the advice is much appreciated.
THANKS!!!

I'd start with 180gr Winchester XP3's or Federal Trophy Bonded Tips, but ultimately, use whatever good bullet shoots the best out of your rifle!
