Thats a tuff one...

I absolutely love elk hunting in the MT mountains, but I would have to say Alaska moose hunting was a dream come true & was more than I ever expected... so I would have to say moose.

I'm curious. Why Moose over Elk?

I'm going with Whitetails. There are So many different places to hunt them. Everywhere you go there is different terrain from the north woods here in MN to hot texas scrub to the plains of CO. Love chasing those white flags

Of all the animals that I've actually hunted successfully, (mule deer, whitetail deer, antelope, black bear, elk and feral hogs) I would say that Elk are by far my favorite. They truly are majestic creatures. Plus they taste great and they pack around plenty of meat on their bones!

I have an itch to hunt mountain goats right now though, folks who I've talked to that have hunted them say they are one of the most enjoyable animals to hunt. I don't know yet, but would like to find out sometime soon. I've got some applications out there right now, maybe in a few years I'll get lucky.

For me it was partly because I was way out in the Alaskan Backcountry & it was easily the prettiest thing I have ever seen. The other part that made them the coolest animal to hunt for me is the way you can get out & challenge these monsters during the rut & they have no problem coming into less than 20 yds to check you out. One of the best hunting experiences ever!
