I generally prefer close shots, but sometimes the situation calls for a long one if one is going to be made. After the 326 and 250 yard shots the next longest was 125 on an elk. A passel of other deer, elk, and antelope were killed well within a hundred yards. Not much more challenging or rewarding than working in on a group of antelope from several hundred yards out in short sage brush and getting within 30 to 40 yards of them...
