7 RUM

Another question, I will be hunting Elk/Deer in Colorado with my 7 RUM. What factory load would be better? 160gn Partition, or 175 gn Swift A-Frame.

Thanks in advance..

There is no need for heavy bullets in the ultra if you use premium bullets.I have taken several elk using the 140gr partition out of my 7mmstw' s.Penetration is great ,they shoot flat and recoil is less as well. The 140gr failsafe is also a great choice.

RE: 7 RUM

Try them both at the range and pick the one that shoots best.
For what it is worth, I prefer the 160-grain Nosler Partitions.
I shoot a 7mm.STW like stubblejumper does and my rifle shoots 140gr. & 160gr. Nosler Partitions very well. I just prefer to have the larger 160 grain bullet in my rifle.
Either bullet you pick will do the job just fine.
Good Luck

175 gr. Swift A-Frame. Good luck on your hunt.
