rattle in a muley?

This may have been discussed before so sorry in advance if it has. I hunt whitetail, but just got a place to shoot mule deer. My question is can you rattle in a mule deer like you do a whitetail?

usaully not as responsive as whitetail but can work in tight areas and river bottoms

never heard of it done here...nor do we use calls.............
don't know where U'll be hunting but most of the mulies around here are shot at a distance of a few hundred yds or more!!!! most our deer are out in the sagebrush

Yes you can ,as I've done it while WT hunting .It got a rut crazed 4x4 mulie dead. Also killed nice mulie bucks responding to a doe bleat..................Harold ....Alberta Canada

Never tried it, but good luck.

Don't know why it wouldn't work, but have never tried it. I have been callig coyotes on numerous occasions though, and had mulies come in droves to a distressed rabbit call.....

I've tried....once.... in one of those situations that you can see the buck but he can't see you but to no avail he just stared.(it was just a couple days ago in prime rut)
They best method for mulies is spot an stalk that's just about the only thing that works at least in open country. Bring a grunt call to catch the bucks attention right before you shoot but leave you antlers for whitetails.
