My elk

Here's a pic of the 5x6 bull elk I got in eastern Ky on 10-10-10.

How long had the elk been down when the picture was taken ????Looks quite warm out!
|
Congratulations.
Did they weigh him? I've never been anywhere where you could get one of those bad boys out without cutting them up into little pieces and pack them out on your back! |
It was about 80 degrees out so we didn't weigh him. We were in too big of a hurry to skin, quarter, and ice him down.

Great lookin bull ! Congrats !

In ky? is tha one of the elk they released into tn? Or the offspring of one? I saw my first TN elk this spring while turkey huntin. BB
|
It's the offspring of some they released in Ky years ago.

your beard is awesome. i aspire to achieve that.

Very nice! Congratulations! I have to say, that is the 1st time I see an animal that size hung up whole on a spreader bar. By the looks of the setup it is hanging from, it probably gets used like that often. We always have to quarter up, skin, and then pack out.
|
Nice bull! I also killed a 5x6 (last year)
Your's is a nice one. Is it your first? |
