going on hunt this fall that i guess you would say is semi guided. one guide for 4 hunters. i have heard in the past that 10% is a normal tip for your guide. is this correct for fully guided as well as semi guided hunts? i am not sure how much service he will provide other than a cabin, meals & help in getting around the ranch.

I went on a 2 for 1 guide hunt and we each tipped him 10% so it was a total of 20% for him. He did a good job.

10% is a guideline on many guided hunt but 10% on a higher dollar hunt would be more than most common hunters could afford. You can let the quantity and quality of services rendered be your guide also.
