Montana elk district 700, need advise!
 

Anyone out there have any advise for me? I drew a breaks 700 either sex tag. I have hunted several other districts over there but not 700. Hopeing someone would have any tips as to how to hunt that area and any suggested spots. Thanks!!

I've heard/read that 700 does not have the # of elk that 410 and the 600's have. I'd call the biologist and ask where they are?

I think access is limited in 700 too, so I think a boat and hunting from the reservoir is the way to go.

according to my map here it looks like B. Hildebrand is the biologist for 700, you can punch up his name on the montana website to get a phone #.

That places is wickedly rough in some places (near the lake,especially). There's tremendous bulls. You easily have the potential to kill a REALLY nice one there. pm me if you want, I've even got my old blm maps from hunting there and might be able to point a few things out to ya.
