I have hunted and killed elk in three states, Idaho, Montana & Wyoming.

Only hunted elk here in MT

Montana and Wyoming.

Killed a cow elk in Montana and a 245" 5x5 in Wyoming.

Grew up in Montana and "hunted" elk several times but really only truly tried a couple times and got the cow elk on one of those.

I'm 1 for 2 in Wyoming.

Rifle all the way.

I have only hunted elk in Utah but I would love to change that!

I have taken 4 bulls and 3 cows in 10 years of hunting.

7 animals in 10 years why would U want to change that...that is a great sucess rate:hail:......some hunt for 10 years or more and never kill a elk!!!! I ran into a guy one time that had been hunting for elk 19 years and no kill!!!!!
I would say to U it aint broke so don't try and fix it!!!!:wave:

Very kind of you to say but I have to disclose that some years I had two tags in my pocket, 1 cow and 1 bull tag. I went back and counted and I have purchased 13 elk tags in those 10 years. Still a tad better than average but not quite the 70% it appeared to be. But thanks for the compliment.
