RE: elk in montana

Cody, with all the great national forest and BLM' s availiable thoughout Montana and with just a little bit of homework, it won' t take long and you' ll be slinging some arrows at some critters, but don' t expect anyone to let you know where there honey holes are.[:' (] One good thing about the bow season is you get a jump on most of the weekend warriors and you have the option to shoot a cow or bull, also dureing the archery season, this is when the bulls are in the peak of the rut and very vocal, this is my favorite time to hunt. :) I' ll usually spend my season elk hunting and then hunt the white-tail rut in late November.
You hve until june 2 to apply for B-tag which you can use to shoot some camp meat. Good luck and keep us posted, Bobby;)
