What ammo for Elk

160 gr partitions out of my 7mm are my elk medicine. I do handloads but I believe Federal makes that same load.

Yes they do but they are over 100+ fps slower. Double Tap has a limited selection of offerings but they are high performance ammo.

In the 7mm Mag I like the 160 Nosler from federal,still shoots plenty flat out to 500+ yds and has plenty of knock down.
The only elk I shot with a 7mag had hole the size of a lemon on the exit side DRT.

As for .338 I've always like the 210 gr Nosler in my Ultra and the Win.
