Default Elk Season - Its right around the corner !

Just with the anticipation for elk season right around the corner I am always curious as to what was the big purchase you made for this upcoming season ?

Me, just a few added pieces of rain gear and a cap for the truck.

A Nikon spotting scope, better binos with a harness, and a water purifier.

I did the big spend last year.

I bought a new Weatherby Vangaurd 300 WSM synthetic stainless at Walmart.
Also a Swift scope to go on it that my local gun dealer says is a good scope.

What bullet are you going to use out of that gun ? I have a Browning 300WSM A-Bolt and absolutely love it. Shoots the 180gr Winschester Nosler AccuBonds

I bought a camper since last season. Will not have to spend the night in a rainy leaky tent anymore. Kind of excited about that.

Great choice. A swift scope is great, especially for the price, i have 4 x12 x50 swift on my 300WSM, works awesome.

I bought myself a new bow. Mathews Monster. Got it for all types of hunting though, not just elk, but elk was a big reason i went with the monster.
