do you have any pts built up?
if not and considering hunting WY, you can still buy an elk pt, I think with one pt going into the non-res draw you can guarantee yourself a general elk tag for WY.

Default Western Elk Hunt

Elk Hunting the West with friends will be a good time. Let me know if you want to plan a Utah elk hunt. Our drawing will be in January 2010. We also have over the counter any bull elk hunts. Best of luck to you.

Colorado has OTC bull for 2nd and 3rd season rifle and OTC any sex bow. Lots of open land for hunting and a huge elk herd.

I am doing a DIY hunt in colorado this fall in GMU 24. Over the counter bull tags are available and I believe there is a late draw for cow tags also. If you are interested PM me.

I have been on DIY elk hunts in south Colorado the last 3 years. Our group has killed 5 bulls and 2 cows on these hunts. Going back again this year with a cow tag. Get yourself in a good area and be in shape.
