Yeah, a boar is a bit different than a deer in that all his vitals sit up front. Just behind the shoulder will be a gut shot. I hunt them with a 30-06 and put it straight through the shoulder or a neck shot if I' m close enough. I' ve never used a bow, so I' m not sure about what to tell you there. Good luck.

Check with Matt & Cheryl Napper-they own & operate the Shilo ranch near Ada, Oklahoma-hog Bowhunting only. Cheryl has a Photo she posted where she peeled away the hide & skin on a freshly killed hog & shows all the vitals behinnd the shoulder & ribs. I too, have had Double lung hits & still had to put another arrow in them plus been charged & chased. I just finished a tour of 3 states making a informational video on places to Bowhunt wild hogs so I have had a few memorable experiences of late. Good Luck..
