Don't live there but apply annually.

The two world class zones for AZ muleys are the strip and the kaibab plateau...I think that's units 13, and 12, takes quitea few years/pts to draw, use to be OTC archery though.

Not sure about zones outside of this region.

In Yuma County along the Colorado River, you will find some nice ones, but they are quite elusive. Also east of Yuma, near Tacna and Wellton along the Gila River. These are all areas that I hunted as a kid and growing up for 30 years. Also north of Gila Bend along the Gila River there use to be quite a few. Good luck...also try the Arizona Strip in Northwestern Arizona.

I used to live in AZ.. I will agree with what's been said..
Been putting in for elk for many many years now and never been drawn, not as resident or non resident.. I continue to try.. Mulie is a tough tag to draw also so best of luck.. Start getting your bonus points this year..

I come from the northern part of AZ ( 1 hour away from the famous Kaibab and AZ strip ) being a resident of this state for 18 years, you can imagine I've done my fare share of mule deer hunting.

I think before you get serious about hunting here, you first need to commit. So that poses the question: Are you willing to pay almost $1,000 to come and hunt? If so, I have many pointers for you.
