If I were a guide I don't know how I would put up with crap like that! Unbelievable!

People are just ridiculous. I have guided some folks and been guided by some folks, my guides always had funny stories of stupid things people did. I had a guy that I put in a stand once get down and walk off on 5 mins after i dropped him off. I watched him for a good hour as he walked around with his bow. theni got him and asked him what the hell he was doing. I had another guy ask me that once he is seated in his stand should he draw is bow and keep it drawn until the deer show up. I wanted to say yes so bad!

and just think some of those same people are hunting by themselves so make sure your alert to your sorroundings, they could be "hunting" by you.

Heck, that's the way i always go to camp! My gun is apart, many times in a duffle bag...Besides having it tore apart, ihave two scopes and three kinds of ammo in there...

What's wrong with that???

If I were a guide, I'd help him get it together and give him some training. Not everyone grew up hunting. At least I would feel I sent him off safer than when I met him.

Yeah, realistically a refund of the hunt for the outfitter would be a serious expense. Take him back down to the trail head and out to the shooting range. Educate him and prep him. If it takes extra time, it is time he paid for and time from his hunt. If approached right you can turn an imbecile into someone competent with a little time and effort.

I do know a local guide that had some idiot fire a shot over his head from behind. He took the client's firearm away, ******ed him to camp, and the fellow's hunt was over.
