Great buck!

RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
I'm with BrutalAttack. You're insane if you don't think that buck is a bench leg buck. All those deer down there are cross-bred. Most have black tails with huge ears and lighter hair coloration than a pure bred blacktail. I was down there last spring hunting turkeys. I was obvious to me these deer are not "blacktails" as you call them.
At any rate, it's a damn nice buck. You're just a bit off with your "Blacktail in eastern washington" title. |
RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
The fact is that Boone & Crockett does not recognize any deer east of the Pacific Crest Trail [80 miles west] as a Blacktail.

RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
The fact that the boone and crockett book does or does not do, is immaterial...U need to go down there and talk to the locals...maybe get off yer fat lazy butts and go and see what kind of deer are really there!!!!! I can assure U that U will find blacktail dear in the area!!!!! I have found blacktail in Kittitas county (high taneum and manashtash) well east of the pacific crest trail!!!them deer don't know they aint supposed to be there, they can't read!!!!!! It just flat amazes me that people come in here and call others liars and can stand with out a doubt that this deer is not a blacktail or it is a crossbreed from a picture of the friggin head!!!! if yer that good U need to be werkin for the game dept.......OK sorry rant over!!!!!!

RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
Doesnt look like a blacktail to me although its almost like a cross between a muley and a whitetail.
|
RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
My dad and a buddy were hunting in the early 80's in Northeast Washington when they took a blacktail. No not a mulie, a black tail, yes they know the difference. To say there aren't any in that area is assinine..
|
RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
Well clinty poo yer daddy musta been full of it, and not know what he's talkin about ...because all the experts here have said that there ARENO blacktails in eastern WA.!!!!!! I always belived there were no whitetails in kittitas county till I shot one LOL!!!!! :D
|
RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
I know huh Finnbear... The damned whitetails must have disquised themselves as black tails.. That's exactly what happened. Intraweb experts, gotta love em.
|
RE: Eastern Washington Blacktail
Fact---A true Mule deer-Blacktail cross WILL HAVE a black stripe from the base of the tail tothe black tip on the end of the tail. This is not a opinion. This is fact. By the way Finnbear I get off my butt and get out often. I also live in theColumbia River Gorge andspend time there from one end to the other. Oh by the way that buck is no Blacktail. Lay off the crack pipe.
