Need a Montana hunting partner

Have my big game combo tags and due to an unfortunate turn, my partner will not be available for the hunt, or anything else for that matter. So I either go DIY or if there is any one else in my position who would be interested, find a new partner. I am a Michigan Whitetail hunter and have never hunted elk or mule deer. However, I have hunted my entire life. I am a navy vet,an NRA member of long standing and am in great physical shape. If there is an interest and you have your tags, Lets talk. And if you happen to be from Ohio? thats ok too.lol (go blue)

By the way, The only perfect gun is one you can place a shot with.

Size,

Some advice:

1. Don't tell them you can cook. Split firewood maybe, but not cook. Trust me.

2. You're sure you haven't hunted elk or mule deer before? They won't be in the rut during rifle season, won't sit still,be at range?

Good luck!

Yes, the deer will absolutely be in rut during gun season.

Elknut1, an advantage to self employment is I go when I want too. I have been juggling between bow and rifle. Advantages to both. It aint easy to plana hunt when you lose your source of info, a seasoned elk hunter, past guide and close friend. So what advice I've gotten comes from any number of supposed "experts". Are you asking because your interested? I see you are from Idaho. Curious if you drew tags in montana? I thought Idaho was good place for elk. wayne

I fart and snore, dishes are for target practice and my cooking is more like smoking.

Wayne, no I wasn't asking for me! I had a friend that was wanting to partner up with another hunter. I read your post & thought maybe you two may work something out then I realized one would have to draw to hunt your area? I guess being here in ID it didn't dawn on me your hunt wasn't OTC like most of our State! I guess I jumped the gun! (grin) Thanks!
