If I had to choose from those three it would be the 300 win mag. Backup would be 270 win.
An animal can never be to dead.

300 WM as primary as that is my primary for all my big gamehunting.
270 for backup only because you don't offer 30.06.

I don't use the 300 WM because it hits harder. I use it because it shoots flatter farther.

Any of those rounds will do, they aren't hard animals to bring down..Shot placement is the primary key .Depending on the cal you use, bullet selectionI'm not gonna say its not important, but we he there is alot of conventional bullets that will kill deer as well as the premiums.
One thing is for certain, mulies are often seen at moderate to longer distances providing you can handle the recoil, and you are both capable and willing to shoot them at those longer ranges use a magnum.
Personally, weight isbecoming more of an issue for me ,than the cal I choose to huntdeer(I have packed heavy rifles up 10,000 fton 10 day huntsbut now that I'm a little older and wiser, I'm going lighter)
Sodepending onthehunting method, I'd consider a 6.5mmx.284 if I wanted alight weight very flatshooting caliber mulie mountain rifle.
Currently ,my favorite primary mule deer hunting cartridge is the 30-06 .Actually it does everything....Sheep Elk Moose Deer Goat..
"My backups" stay at home .338 and .311 Imperial mag collect dust.....
Outta the list you have the .270 would be the primary hunting cartridge andthe .300WM as backup if you really really wanted to bring another rifle..
My hunting partners are my backups.

As an outfitter in Nebraska, I use a 25-06 and have a 270 as a back-up.

A back up in case of... ???

I'd favor the 270. Never had to backup anything.

One gun, one shot, one kill. All a man really needs. Really.

(oh hell yes I miss some times )
