it really has nothing to do with ethics.not all areas can be hunted the same way.areas that have very few deer will not be a good place to stalk. you could walk for days and not see a thing. in texas it is allowed to have feeders and food plots. do not believe for one minute that just because you have these that deer will come during hunting hours.the nutrition available may not be enough to have healthy deer. in this case food plots and feeders help a great dealalso deer do not hang around waiting for the feeder to go off. you may in rare cases see this.you can not stalk the area i hunt. canyons and steep ravines with cactus and rocks. also lots of rattlesnakes.we use tower blinds and box blinds.

This topic has been beat to death and it always results in nothing decided or positive. BUT once again I will join in.........I agree it has nothing to do with ethics. It is just another technique. If it is legal than it is a personal choice. Baiting requires the same amount of scouting, knowledge, deer movements, etc as many other techniques. Dropping a bale or setting up a feeder anywhere will not equal success. A lot of misconceptions on exactly what is involved with baiting, feeding or planting techniques for game. In noway can you assure animals will eat during legal time, it is very similar to sitting a crop or natural food source...you hope they show up before you have to leave!
