Kodiak Caribou

Does anyone have any information on hunting the Caribou herd on Kodiak Island? What is the average herd population and is it up or down this year?

Thanks,

I'm quite certain kodiak has 0 caribou. Also no wolves, hence the healthy and abundant blacktail deer population. Are you headed to Kodiak Island? Brown bear hunt? I hear they have reasonable mountain goat hunts, something to consider if you're going there.

There are caribou on Kodiak. Pretty sure they were originally domesticated, like reindeer, AKF&G says they're caribou. I saw a discussion about this on another forum recently, but naturally can't remember where right now.
