RE: WHERE TO HUNT ELK
I've never been Elk hunting but I am moving to Wyoming mostly for that very reason. I had several friends who applied for Colorado Elk Tags each year. They hunted public land and camped while there. They never took record book Elk and usually cow hunted but they kept doing it and getting better at it. My cousin did the same thing in Montana and took an Elk with a bow. You can do it if you are willing to be patient and try.
Forgot to add this, http://www.greatlodge.com/cgi-bin/pe...brand=browning Go to this site. It has all the hunting regs for all the states. You can get the info about season dates, how to apply etc... Then you can contact the fish and game departments and find a place to hunt.
If I was a horse; they'd have shot me.
