Pennsylvania Bear Season

I live in fayette ,I do most of my hunting in the rockies and midwest.I see a lot of bears around home .Maybe my standerds are getting to high for a shooter after hunting this much.[I'm sure my wife would agree]I have 4 blackies in the game room now or I would be out trying to get rid of one this year .Good luck to all.

i saw a pic on the bluecrab.info site of three hunters from pa with small cubs and a 47# albino cub, make me sick to see pa sportsman like that and if im not mistaken there were 4 cubs shot in the picture.

back in early 60s/70s you could not shoot a cub bear.
very few were shot then and left lay,i know, i was friend of local game warden here in pa.
NO BEAR CUBS EVER STARVED.
we had worst winters than we do now.
you were allowed 1 bear ,adult per crew.
we would usually only hunt for big male bears..
i was at check station here in clinton county,pa.
hunters shooting cubs now are bringing bears in with GUTS in them so they weight more, like 1 was 47 pds but its weight should have been 30 pds.
so, if you hear of cub at 47 pds, its not, its 30 pds..
cub bear hunters are one of the most disgusting huntersand give bad name to our sport.

Yeah, I pretty much don't see the point in killing a cub black bear either. There's almost no trophy value to it, and there certainly can't be much left for meat on a 30lb bear, unless you shoot it right through the ribs. That must be like trying to hit a coyote pup for size of rib cage. And the meat isn't the best in the world anyway?????[>:]

most if not all bear cubs are shot in head, hmmmmmmmmmmmm, they say to sproul, they were 150 yds away, running through brush, could not tell if they were not 500 pds. WHAT A SHOT!
SPROUL is no dumbie, reason the cubbears are shot in head is so they dont chew up the 30 pds of cub meat.
if you think those shots in head were made at 150 yds and 200 yds RUNNING as everyone tells me,well you know what i mean.
my past posts shows how most cubs are shot and its not at 150 yds.
been at this for 50 years bear hunting here in pa.
THIS HAS TO END..............
