Flat Tops Wilderness Area
 

I am planning an elk hunt to the Flat Tops Wilderness Area in Colorado this year. I plan to hunt the first combined season. I was wondering if anybody has hunted this area and if they were successful. Also how many elk did they see.

I am not 100% sure, but isn't the flat tops where they had one of the biggest fires last year? If it is, the hunting could be really good with all that new growth all nice and green. They may love that stuff.

I am planning on a self guided hunt. I'm looking at the area around Wall Lake. But any other suggestions would be helpful.

I am planning on renting horses and getting back in away from the pressure. Once I make up my mind as to where to go for sure.

contact [email protected] he has a service called Antler Quest. He can provide all info on area and do scouting for you if needed. He is quit good and for a small fee will help you out.
