Congrats on the nice deer. Looks like you got some good eatin' there, and that's a cool looking rifle too, mind telling me more about it? Oh, and what is the story behind your buck?

My rifle is a Mossberg 30.06 but the old finish on it was starting to fade and look like crap lol so i sanded it all down to bare wood, i refinished it with crystal varathane, and i also repainted the black tip, the black under where the bolt rest's and the checkering.
Well not much of a story lol. I was walking this coulee and i came to this point and i look down in the bottom and there were 4 does standing there, so i sat down cause i figured there might be a buck with them, sure enough here come two running away from me. Both the same size, then they stop and face broadside to me at about 200yds downhill. BOOM nothing they both just turn and faced me, im thinking there is no way in hell i just missed, so since they were both standing there i aimed for where the brisket starts and BOOM, he folded right up. Took him in the heart. I still dont know how i missed the 200yd broadside shot cause not 20mins before i hit a coyote at 250yds on a dead run.

Well, that hunt looks like nothing other than a job well done, lots of venison on the ground, and a great rack, and another respectable buck down, too.
I must say, though, that's some downright amazing country, I always love hunting Mule Deer, just got back from a Mule Deer trip in the Chadron area of Nebraska, and the country was beautiful, the deer were beautiful.

So we've all heard about Canada's gun control. What kind of rules do you live with regarding firearms in Canada just to put it in perspective for us in the States?
How difficult would it be for somebody in the states to take a rifle into Canada and hunt. I believe the handgun rules are much stricter right?
btw - Nice buck!
