Just make sure you don't order a BFtunafish sandwhich at breakfast in March!

Hey Arctic, June can be good for albacore and yellowtail. Sometimes the big BFT's (big by left coast standards) will also show. Are you thinking about a multi-day trip, or an overnight trip? That will determine when you need to start planning.

2004 will be busy - just put down a deposit for 10 days in S. Africa last 2 weeks of July.

Capt. Brad, I sure wish I could make my living by fishing - I sit in front of a PC all day. But I know how you feel about leaving the family, I spent 8 years in the Navy and that was always the hardest part.

And someday I do plan on doing some east coast fishing. I hope this is not too much fishing talk for a hunting forum....

Africe, you lucky dog! Sounds like a blast! It's hard to say what I'll be able to do that far in advance. Right now I'm scheduling trips up through Sept. After that I'm not sure what my schedule will be and when I'll be able to break free. The wife will be in college, so when I'm home I'll be playing mr. mom. We plan to go up to Virginia in December for Christmas, so hopefully I'll get a touch of east coast fishing in while I'm there. I've also been looking into a bowfishing trip for stingrays while I'm there.

No worries on the fish talk here, there are a couple of fish forums, but they don't seem to get much use. I need to toss a lure in the atlantic ocean, then I can say I've hit three of the four big bodies of water.

About Africa....I brought my raghorn elk head back from Wyoming this fall to a local taxidermist (european mount). Well, he's partners with a Safari outfit over in RSA and started talking about how I should do a safari.
Sounded good to me but I didn't think the wife would buy into it, so I used my secret plan (although she sees right through me!). I left all the info and videos around the house to let her know what I was looking at, then I casually asked what she would think about taking a trip to Africa. Imagine my surprise when she said she would love to do that. That was all the encouragment I needed. Now I have to do some serious $$$ saving.

About this time next winter is when you'll want to decide on a plan of action for fishing. I'll be happy to help all I can.

My wife isn't going for the africa thing quite yet, although I've been trying to persuade her. Her aunt is in Ghana on a mission as a doctor, and I've been trying to get her to go visit. hehe

All in due time, I'm sure one of these years I'll head over.
