You ever use a walking stick?

My brother brought one on a bow hunt in montana this year .It was colapsable and had a v at the top to rest a gun or spotter on and weight nothing. I look at him and said why would you want to carry something alse. Well one day he handed it to me, half way up a montain and after a mile I didn't want to give it back. I was using it to pack heavy load of meat and it save me a few falls and soffened a few others. I did break the v off the top on one nasty slide I'll call it.{that short cut could have cost me dearly} I made a pine one to use but I like the adjustable one for going up and down hills. Any thoughts?

I never have,I generaly have my bow in my hands, and when rifle hunting I like my hands free to grab my rifle. But use as a stabalizer when packing meat it could come in handy to balance one self.

BBJ that reminds me of another thing my brother brought with him ,one for both of us. A bow sling ,it was handy when backing in spike camp or meat, and you had your bow. It also protected the string and wheels or cams on the bow .Thats 2 things the gadget man brought I cann't live withoutnow.
