Thanks, some areas of the state once the rut starts it is not that uncommon to see all these bulls together though normally it would only be about 6 bulls in the groups while the others lay back. The bulls here would more commonly be somewhat smaller then the ones you would have. Non the less a moose is still a big animal here, and yes the antlers for the most part will stay pretty dark right up until they drop them. Though the velvet came off most of them about a week and a half ago.. You have to be carefull trying to get some good pics in situations like these ones too.

Thanks for the info and the awesome pics to look at, and yes moose to tend to be very aggressive during the rut, ive been charged a few times.

A moose hunt in Maine is definately on my hunting to do list. Nice post.
