Hunt Slow, Get a good vantage point. Some good bino's, I use 10x42's. A spotting scope if you have it. I always set up high way before day light. Above some sort of a water source. Then I wait to see what gods country is going to unfold for me. Shoot a buck every year. From my rock.:D

Make sure your boots are broke in! I scouted yesterday, I walked 7-8 miles thru some good mule deer country and never saw a deer. I would recommend a good pair of binoculars. I generally sit morning and evenings looking accross good travel routes. But mid-day can often be the best to pick out a resting buck on a hillside. That can only be done with the use of good glass. GOOD LUCK!
