My wife is an old farm girl who has butchered critters all her life. She does at least half of all of our field dressing and butchering.

hey guys,
I didn't mean to start anything with my ealier comments I was just pulling his chain a little. I know that there are women out there that will shoot their deer, gut it, skin it, process it, cook and eat it.
I have to be honest. I wish my wife would do all that. She doesn't care that I hunt and fish. I can catch and shoot anything I want. She'll cook it if I waant her to, but I ahve to clean it.

Yes she does. Typically I field dress the deer. She'll help me pull the skin off after we get home. Then I debone everything off the carcass. It is then a team effort when we process the venison in the kitchen. It amazes some of my friends. I just think I was blessed with a good one!

Yep, my wife has helped with about 20 deer, a dozen bears and a couple elk. She would have helped on more, but she had to watch the little one.

Yup, I have a wife like that too. She even picked the catus spines outta my butt once. We had carried a nice Muley about 2 miles and I sat down to rest. Right on top of a small cactus.

My wife is a full time hunter and fisher. She will do whatever is needed to make the hunt successful. She has whitetails and elk to her credit so far. And she is a fishing queen. By the way she likes her beer too.





How's that for an outdoor woman. Gotta love her.

We live here in north Idaho, sorry took so long to write back, we went up camping and scouting this week end, heard a bull or two ringin off. And to the other guys question, yes she has a sister, and no she doesnt look like her one bit, total opposite you'd have to look twice and wonder were the tree corrected it self.................LOL

I see the Title of the Post and all I can think is what don't my wife do?She helps drag Deer out,cuts up Elk,Deer,Hogs,and whatever else is killed.Help build,Wired,Plumbed our House.Does most the Mechanic work on the Vehicals.

Plus she works some times 100 hours a week.

But what do you expect from a woman that the first time you seen her she was Over Hauling a Combine getting it ready for Wheat Harvest.Then after you move in,you leave her with a sack of Game to clean while you go out drinking with the Guys,no problem.

Plus she has drove a Big Rig,worked as a EMT,and worked in the Prison Hospital.

Heck I don't have to brag on my woman just stand back and watch,like I have for the last 25 years.[8D]

Ah her idea of a date is to take off and go Camping some where.Got a Camping trip planed for Arkansas next month on the Buffalo.And maybe one in Southern Missouri in October.

Sounds like you got a good Woman too!

I've got one also. Trained her from a non-hunter. On a mulie hunt a few years ago, she hauled out all my overclothes and belt pack as I had stripped down to a T-shirt to shoulder a back half of a huge deer out a couple of miles. With her rifle hanging in front of her in a safari sling and the deer's head behind her shoulders holding antlers on either side of her, and all my clothes tied around her waist,the outfitter said that was the most impressive sight he had ever seen coming across the prairie and sure would have liked to gotten a picture of that to show women that they can hunt with their men!

Yes she does....she also hiked 3.5 miles in 18" of snow to help me drag out the cown last year. While I was doing some quatering she was doing some skinning and she ahd a ball.

lol, I can't tell you how much I wish my girlfriend would do that!! She's a tough little farm girl and works the fields most of the summer and fall but she wouldn't think of killing one of gods inocent creatures. But she's already agreed to try turkey hunting with me this fall and after that...who knows! Deer, bear, small game....I'm pumped! lol

Thats where it will all begin, hopefully for u she will get the bug. My wife was a none hunter till she tried it now she just wants to catch, shot, trap everything, i love it! i'll have some pics tommorow

Solution......you have her go buy an expensive tree, have her plant it. As she cares for the tree, and watches it grow, then come fall hopefully a nice buck comes and rubbes it down.....LOL All she'll want to do is run an arrow through him.....
