Newbie to elk huntin
Hey guys, this year I'm planning my first elk hunt...been off scoutin and have seen some good elk in the area. Anyways Im looking for a good elk hunting dvd that will teach me all the basics and then some. (how to call in bulls, ect.) I was wondering if anybody knows of a really good dvd that could show me those types of things. Thanks

What kind of guitar? (lol) You know what I did, I went to our county library and took some dvd/vhf's home and watched the hell out of them. Didn't cost me a thing, and had a very good selection. All of them can show you at least something you didn't get in the previous one. So watch as many as you can stand. You can't know too much about wapiti. |

I wish my library systems would have something like that, but the problem is I live pretty near to seattle, and they just dont have their librarys stocked with hunting movies.

learn how to cow/ lost calf call
that will be your biggest draw. bugels are used for location constant bugels will send monster bull and his heard on a bee line miles away from you. there is also an art to calling. its one thing to make sounds its another thing to understand the lang your speaking to them. keep it simple...cow call and lost calf call will bring them in. if you lost calf call, you'll bring in cows. bring in the cows and the bulls will come to round them up. :) good luck and have fun. oh try wayne carlton dvd and cd. you can pick them up at wally world. |

Order Elknut's videos. They are the best instructional videos I know of. I own all 4, and pop them in before every season.
