WOW! great flicks!....looks like your back yard? Battled to death to sort out a winner. Mother nature in its wildest form I guess.

That's a shame, the dead one sure had a beautiful rack!!!!

Was it your backyard? If that's the case, you're pretty lucky to have that kind of property.

That's a bit drastic. Fighting to the death... but nature works in mysterious ways.

Man, if that was in my backyard it would be hard not to have a freezer full of meat!

As much as I would like for this to have been my backyard it isn't. A friend sent these to me and I have no idea where he got them, but there was 12 or 13 pic's in all.

The one pic that shows the gut sticking out really has my attention and you know the bull is done for when its tongue is hanging out.

Could you post the gut pic? These pics, there's no evidence of any damage done to the elk, since the last pic has the elk laying on top of the wounded side.

Weird, though, since the dead one had a bigger rack, but it takes fighting spirit, not antlers, I guess.

Next to last pic. Guts are hanging out right in front of his hind leg.

The dead bull had to have had his neck broke during the fight cause there doesn't seem to be any blood sprayed all over the ground like would happen with the lungs being punctured.

Nature can be nasty some times.

Very cool pics, also look at the location of the dead bull in the first pic compared to the green grass clump and the location in the last pic. The winning bull moved the dead bull quite a distance and in the process broke the right side antler of the dead bull as you can see in picture #3. Awesome power of nature.

I've seen these before through an email at work that show some with the dead bull still alive. It's crazy to see.

looks like it took place on an elk farm...looks like there is a blue tag in the ear of the winning bull in one of the pics...is it a transit tag or a price tag?

Are you talking about this pic?

That's the dying elk's hoof, hanging in the air.
